No, it isn’t Wayne. Nor Jay. Sorry, not even Nas. Vibe has announced that the winner of the best rapper alive, voted by the fans is no other than Eminem.

“It’s obviously an honor to have won the fans’ support by being voted the Best Rapper Alive,” Em said in a statement released Tuesday (October 7). “I don’t think that there is any one rapper that is simply the best, though. Everyone who was in consideration and many others are the best at certain things, and at what they do. But since Vibe’s offering the distinction, hell yeah, I’ll accept!”

In the NCAA formatted style bracket, the fans came down to two of their favorite MCs: Jay-Z, and Eminem. By a landslide, Eminem defeated Young Hova with a whopping 69% of votes going to him.

Vibe’s music editor Sean Fennessey had this to say about Eminem’s latest victory. “Eminem isn’t just one of the most successful MCs of all time, he’s also one of the most beloved. The proof is in the voting.”

The mother of superstar rapper Eminem is being sued over her recently released book on the rapper’s life, titled My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem: Setting the Record Straight on My Life as Eminem’s Mother.Debbie Nelson is being sued by Neal Alpert and the Rachel Erin Corporation in breach of contract lawsuit, which was filed yesterday (April 7) in Oakland County Court in Michigan.The lawsuit claims that Nelson entered into a contract in November of 2005, agreeing to let Alpert act as her exclusive agent for various radio, book, TV and motion picture deals, in return for 25% of the gross profits.Nelson allegedly developed and wrote My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem behind Alpert’s back, although she was still bound to him under the terms of the November 2005 agreement.

Eminem was taken to a Detroit-area hospital for a serious heart condition and severe pneumonia over the holidays. Sources tell TMZ Em’s weight has ballooned to over 200 lbs. “He has since been released and is doing well recovering at home.”

Damn, this isn’t good! I hope Em takes as much time as he’s needs to get back to good health!

We definitely don’t need to lose another great one!
