Rapper Beanie Sigel was sentence to serve three months in jail yesterday.

Authorities said Sigel, whose real name is Dwight Grant, gave a false urine sample to probation officials on Feb. 29 and also tested positive five times earlier this month for controlled substances, including Xanax and Percocet.

The former is used to treat anxiety and the latter is typically used to treat moderate to severe pain, but is considered very addictive.

U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick sentenced Sigel, 34, to three months in prison and one additional year of supervised release, which he is to continue in a drug-treatment program.

Sigel told the judge that his relapse was brought on by money problems. He also revealed he was about to lose his house, because he can’t travel to earn money through performances.

Beanie Sigel was found guilty Wednesday of a probation violation for taking a trip to Atlantic City, N.J., and for being in contact with a convicted felon, both actions violates his probation conditions.

Judge R. Barclay Surrick of the U.S. District court ordered Sigel to serve one day in federal prison and extended his probation, by 18 months.

The first six months are to be served in a halfway house, now Sigel will be unable to travel to promote his latest album, “The Solution.”

“I’m human, but I’m working on my mistakes,” he told Surrick.

Damn, Beans was just saying the other day, that he will be off probation in two months! Now the judge hit him with 18 more months. He must be sick right now!
