“Jay-Z gives us an exclusive insight into his world, with backstage access to his concerts in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York, where Alan rubs shoulders with the stars and meets some of Jay-Z’s friends including Chris Martin and P.Diddy. Alan also uncovers the source and inspiration of Jay-Z’s music, from his misspent youth hustling on the streets of Brooklyn, to his meteoric rise to success - not only has Jay-Z sold an estimated fifty million albums worldwide, he’s also become responsible for a multi-million dollar business empire, and is listed along with his partner Beyonce Knowles as one of the most powerful celebrity couples in the world.”
Berry Gordy’s The Last Dragon will receive an upgrade from Samuel L. Jackson and Wu-Tang Clan rapper/producer RZA.
Jackson is preparing to star in a remake of the 1985 cult classic.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the entertainer will play “Sho’nuff, the Shogun of Harlem,” a role played by the late Julius Carry in the original film.
For Jackson, the chance to portray the iconic villain was too good to pass up.
“I’m a huge fan of the original and look forward to bringing Sho’Nuff into the 21st century,” he said.
Samuel L. Jackson is a bad motherfo and if I had to pick someone to play Sho’nuff it’ll probably be him but I hope they don’t f*&k up that classic movie. Below is a clip from the original.
