well the list is “hottest” not “best” Mcs, so i guess i agree with kanye being number one. i cannot agree with rick ross, young jeezy, snoop dogg, or andre 3000 being on this list, cuz they havent been hot for while. my “hot” MC list would go like this:

Yall twistn up their bull with more bull..this is SUPPOSED TO BE AT OVER ONE Year; 2007-2008…so lot of people didn’t release an album and barely had a single (papoose, chamillionaire,..) this ain’t about favorites, its who’s hot right now! Here is my list on who has been hot from late last year to this point as far as singles, remixes, air waves, mixtapes and albums people actually bought and was hot.
1 Lil Wayne (lolipops single/remix killing, most sought after new album, plus his singles are poppin)
2 Kayne West (great album, tour is killing, top singles, Hot lollipop remix –no homo)
3 Young Jeezy (how many official remixes have you heard this dude on!)
4 Common (very good album, like 3 top singles, lyrics still on point, awards)
5 Styles P (prolly his best ablum yet, three dope singles)
7 Ludacris (I’m So hood’ remix, couple other remixes, album of the year? hello,..)
8 Plies (the official hood representitive right now,… album, singles, videos)
9 T.I. (remixes, album singles, awards, airwaves,–maybe it just in ATL)
9 Shawty Lo (he doesn’t have the dope lyrics, just catchy songs, and two ‘radio all day’ singles, who else from the deep south bumpin in NY to LA radio with his own singles, not featuring another artists except Lil wayne?)
10 Jay Z (album, hot tour, he’s starting to cool off,)
Honorable mention: Scarface, had a real good single, decent album, but just fell off.
Honorable mention: Rick Ross (good ablum, he’s warming up but hes at the bottom of the list just as his is on the map)
Honorable mention: Bun B,..lic to Trill expected to do numbers, single was good)
Lupe? he was good but not HOT, one remix single but he didn’t change his lyrics for it…Talib was about the same from his album release but again not HOT…what has Papoose done lately besides a wack beef with Joe crack?…anyone, anyone?? 50 cent is coming back but that’s G-unit not just him…Game,..Nah! 3000 was last year on a couple singles where his lyrics were dope, but one single on Drama’s album can’t save him on this list still. Loyld Banks needs a single to get out shine out from under G-unit to me…Snoop Dogg (a hot single, luke warm album that’s why not on the list) Busta got a good single but I only seen the video…radio? remix? what’s good, busta? Nas-nigger album made not one dent!

Crooked I- Probably the illest cat coming out of the west coast right now
Lupe Fiasco- Album was weak but he drops some of the sickest 16’s out right now.
TI- Say what you want but dude drops some shit, he does that whole southern thing and rhymes words that shouldn’t even rhyme because of that drawl. Dudes Ill.
Scarface- nobody fuckin with Face when it comes dropping some well written rhymes. He’s not one of these punch me in punch me out cats. Not to mention he still relevant and he help start this shit…
Jay Z- He is the standard, he’s probably forgotten more platinum albums then anyone on the list has even recorded. I’m not saying every tracks a winner but he hits you with bars that inspire MC’s to write.
