Lil Wayne Wants His Drug Charges Dropped Down
An attorney representing Lil Wayne in his Arizona drug case filed a motion in Yuma County Superior Court on Friday (March 7) to have a charge of drug possession reduced. According to the Associated Press, attorney James Tilson wants the charge downgraded from possession of drugs with intent to sell to simple possession. Tilson argues that, although an initial grand jury complaint states that his client was caught with 29 grams of cocaine, subsequent lab reports set the amount at less than eight grams. In Arizona, a defendant in possession of more than nine grams is typically presumed to be selling rather than using. A hearing on the motion has been scheduled for May 13.
Despite all Wayne’s run ends with the law and drugs he’s still a good rapper, hope he can get it together. Here’s a related story on his addiction.
