Em produced the track so it catered to his style. He was suppose to have the best verse if he produced it. Jay can flow to anything, but Em outshined him on this one song since this was a Eminem song on a Jay-Z cd.
I choose Em, personally. And I’m a Jay fan. why? Because besides the sick lyrical content of both these dudes, Em was STR8 flowing over this beat–lets not forget that beat for this track. Jay z switches his style up like he likes to do–but always makes you pay attention to his words. But his off flow delivery didn’t do the beat justice like em did. I think MM stands out more BECAUSE of Jay z’s style in the begining,then he switches it up on the last verse. Peep game.–BEATSNRHYMES

Eminem killed that sh!t. Jay-Z wasn’t originally even on it, but he liked it so he wanted to hop on. But I think he even knows he didn’t touch Em.
Jay opened up with a ridiculous verse, but Em responded by absolutely killing the whole thing. I see that 2nd verse as one of the top verses in modern hip-hop. Comparing them in terms of message is trickier though. You gotta realize they’re both talking about what’s real to each of them. For Jay, its about empowering urban youth to get outta the mess they were born into. For Em, its about how his message to youth has taken a backseat to the demonization of his music in politics and the media. Whatever you relate to more, you’re probably gonna like that, but it doesn’t mean the other is sh!t.
